The main theme of my research is to use ecological and physical principles to develop theory and models to understand and predicit ecological and biological systems.

I mainly work in three areas:

• Microbial stoichimetry and function and their effects on ecosystem processes
• Tree and forest responses to elevated CO2 and resource limitations.
• Forest stand dynamics and stand density modelling for large scale applications
