The main theme of my research is to use ecological and physical principles to develop theory and models to understand and predicit ecological and biological systems.

My research topics include:

• Microbial ecology, stoichimetry, and function and their effects on ecosystem processes
• Tree and forest responses to elevated CO2 and nutrient limitations, including mycorrhiza
• Forest stand dynamics and stand density modelling for large scale applications
